TCL TVs run either Roku TV or Google TV depending on the model. Here is how to set up streaming on each.

Check your TCL TV model

TCL makes TVs with two operating systems: TCL Roku TV and TCL Google TV (also called TCL Android TV). Check your settings to see which you have.

TCL Google TV models

If your TCL runs Google TV, you have full Play Store access. Install IPTV Smarters, TiviMate, or other player apps directly. This is the better option for streaming.

TCL Roku TV models

If your TCL runs Roku TV, you have Roku's limitations. Player apps like IPTV Smarters are not available. Use an external device via HDMI.

Recommendation

If you are buying a TCL TV and plan to stream, choose the Google TV version over the Roku TV version for much better app support.
