Screen Mirroring for Smart TV Streaming

Screen mirroring lets you stream from your phone to your TV. Here is how it works.

Screen Mirroring for Smart TV Streaming

What is screen mirroring?

Screen mirroring shows your phone screen on your TV. This can work for streaming but is not ideal for long viewing sessions.

Android mirroring (Chromecast)

Most Android TVs and Google TVs have Chromecast built-in. Open a streaming app on your phone and tap the Cast icon to send it to your TV.

iPhone mirroring (AirPlay)

Samsung and LG TVs support Apple AirPlay. Swipe down on your iPhone, tap Screen Mirroring, select your TV. Not all apps support AirPlay.

Miracast

Some Smart TVs support Miracast, which mirrors Android phone screens without WiFi. Check your TV settings for Miracast or Screen Mirroring.

Mirroring limitations

Screen mirroring can have lag, lower quality, and requires your phone to stay on. For regular streaming, install a player app directly on the TV or use an external device instead.
